FAQ

What is Nuley?

Nüley works to activate the NRF2 transcription factor within our cells.  This transcription factor is a molecule that activates genetic information stored in a specific set of genes. Once activated, these protein molecules act as messengers (hormones), carrying directions to perform certain functions in the body (i.e. increasing glutathione, increasing anti-inflammatory messages, increasing detoxification enzymes, etc). Other messengers may help trigger the body to remove toxins and other harmful substances. Nüley also contains some of the most potent pharmaceutical grade sulforaphane on the market. Sulforaphane is an important and powerful antioxidant used to treat and prevent many types of oxidative stress.

What does Nuley do?

The NRF2 transcription factor is specifically responsible for activating a set of genes that make antioxidants, or molecules that protect our bodies from oxidative stress. Another way to look at this process is to imagine your genetic makeup as a safe. Inside the safe, is a lifetime’s supply of treasures (or genes). Suppose one of the treasures [genes] is a free trip to any destination of your choice [regulates the production of antioxidants]. In order to activate this gift [or specific NRF2 gene pathway], you must enter in the proper combination code [supply yourself with the ingredients present in Nüley]. Once the code is entered, the safe opens and exposes the itinerary for your entire trip [protection from oxidative stress]. The ingredients in Nüley  all play essential roles in activating this NRF2 genetic pathway to combat the body’s frequently occurring oxidative stress.

What is “oxidative stress?”

Oxidative stress describes the interaction of highly reactive molecules called “free radicals” with other molecules in the cells. Free radicals can be generated by sun exposure, tobacco smoke, air pollution, stress and other sources. This interaction can damage proteins, attack cell membranes and harm genes. Activating your NRF2 transcripts can help dramatically reduce these levels.

What can happen if the body doesn’t protect itself against oxidative stress?

Oxidative stress can result in conditions that contribute to aging and affect the brain and nervous system, as well as the kidneys and the heart. It can also cause inflammation. Although antioxidants in foods and dietary supplements help fight free radicals, the antioxidants your own body produces are extremely important to your health. Nüley helps your body produce these protective NRF2 enzymes.

Does Nuley regulate anything else besides the manufacture of antioxidants?

Yes. Nuley “turns on” genes that produce enzymes needed for healthy detoxification and “turns off” genes that produce a highly inflammatory substance called NF kappa B. NRF2 may also decrease the formation of beta amyloid plaque, essentially clumps of insoluble, fibrous proteins, in the brain. This plaque is prevalent in the brains of people with memory loss and other brain function problems.

Why were these ingredients selected?

Numerous scientific studies have identified the specific mechanism of action by which each ingredient supports healthy functioning of the Nrf2 pathway.

What are the ingredients in Nuley?

Nuley contains sulforaphane (a compound obtained from cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli), pterostilbene (a stable form of resveratrol, a natural substance found in wine, blueberries and peanuts) and curcumin (the active ingredient in the popular Indian spice), as well as turmeric and green tea. Bioperine®, a black pepper extract, is added to increase absorption of the ingredients.

How do I take Nuley? May I take it at mealtimes?

Nuley comes in convenient, easy-to-swallow vegetable capsules. Swallow one or two capsules daily with water, or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner.

Is it OK to open the capsules and add the contents to my protein shake?

Yes, it is fine to open capsules and consume only the contents. However, if the small amounts of Bioperine®, a black pepper extract, causes any mouth or throat irritation, resume using only in encapsulated form.

What happens if I forget to take a dose?

Nüley is not a medication. There are no known harmful effects caused by missing a dose. If you discover that you forgot to take a dose on any particular day, simply take it when you remember.

Are there any possible negative interactions between this formula and medications?

As with any dietary supplement, always inform your health care provider. Although there are no known negative interactions, your healthcare provider will determine if use of this formula is appropriate for you. Nüley is not a medication and is not intended to cure or treat any diseases.

Is this formula safe for pregnant/nursing women or children under 12?

As with most dietary supplements, NRF2 Optimizer has not been tested on children or on pregnant/nursing mothers. Your practitioner will determine whether use of this formula is appropriate for you.

Does NRF2 Activator contain any added gluten, corn or major allergens?

Nüley’s all natural NRF2 activating formula contains NO wheat, gluten, corn protein, yeast, soy, animal or dairy products, artificial colors, sweeteners or preservatives.

Where can I research some of the scientific papers on the NRF2 ingredients?

Nüley’s NRF2 activating formula contains a carefully selected and well-researched group of fine ingredients, based upon extensive and established research. You may see a sample the research documents on our Scientific Research page.
